no a lake or some fucking LAGOON is not good enough. it's pithy, pathetic, and a sad attempt at pulling off the REAL THING.

that building is The Chart House
and i used to work there

the ocean is the real thing. THE REAL DEAL McBeal.

people laugh at me because i hate surfers, i think sand from the beach is annoying, and i avoid the sun like it's fuckn Kryptonite... and yet i always live by the beach. My current apartment has a ocean view, and it takes me just seconds to bomb the hill and be on THE PIER.

you dont have to love sunbathing or surfing to be a beach bum.

i take my skateboard cruising along the bike path, and i never get sand in my shoes. but i do get the mist from the ocean spray. as well as a perfect view of any babe in a bikini. and man, that's all i want from the beach anyways.

i don't know how anyone who lives over ten miles away from the ocean can do it. don't you feel landlocked? aren't you antsy? i would be...

btw... never believe a surfer when he says the ocean is "really warm lately." what THEY consider warm, the rest of the planet considers ice water.

i wonder why more people dont want to visit me. mebbe it's cuz if they DID visit me... i'd make them sleep on my balcony... but HEY MAN, it's nice out there. (BYO blankets, pillows and air mattress!!)

oh yah, id expect them to buy me breakfast too. i'm a needy host.
